Start of a new week, start of a new life. So much I want to get accomplished this week. Going experimental fishing with wife, Alesha, and Andy. looking forward to it and am sure we will have a great time. Yet another chance to absorb the joys of parenthood, and perhaps get some quality time with this special set of my offspring. This week I need to focus on completion of several projects and needs of those around me. Thank the Lord that I don't have to do this all on my own! How do people without faith face the daily "bull fight" that life tends to be... me, I'm addicted to the roar of the crowd and the swift breeze of a just missed "horn"!

A little something about the loves in my life. first my wife Debbie, who has had to raise me and kept the faith even when she should have kicked me to the curb. She is all I have ever wanted, and my whole life revolves around her, as a rocky little planet would spin around the sun, kept warm and bright by her presence and bound to my orbit by my very existance... yeah, I love her a lot! And my 3 kids, Jessika, Andrew, and David in decending age. They (through Debbie's raising) have been an incredible blessing to me. And each brought a spouse into the family that only adds to the overall equation for my happiness. I gained (in the same order as above) Kevin, Alesha, and Heidi. An amazingly strong young man and two attractive and highly inelligent young ladies. Each of these has won a place in my heart as my "children". And lastly, so far, my precious grandaughter Reilly. These are the reasons I get up each day, they are my last thoughts as I lay myself down each night.

Monday morning, time to take these creaky old bones to work. Had a great weekend and last night's family night was a great deal of pleasure... though I couldn't have bought a decent poker hand with Trump's credit card.

Went fishing with my son Andrew today, had one of the most delightful times I've had in a long time! Caught a lot of bass on the Umpqua and laughed as we stumbled around in the warm water. I came up with a fly last night that seems to be a real bass killer. I always enjoy my time with Andy, he has the ability to see beyond the norm to the "what if?". May he and his wife Alesha always be blessed!

Friday is upon me... and it's payday!!!! I think I will try to do something nice for my wife this weekend. Though I would really rather go fishing, or shooting. Perhaps I can find a way to combine it all together? Guess I am going over to daughter's house tonight... not too sure what is expected. Guess I will just play it by ear.

I am so happy to have a new grandaughter. Her name is Reilly Rose, and she already has me wrapped around her finger. It is so amazing to look into those little eyes and see the future of my world! Can hardly wait to teach her to fish, go to circuses and carnivals... to live yet again through those precious eyes.

Well I said I would never have a blog... another idea shot. This blog is going to be the meanderings and meditations of an older guy that loves life and lives it. To many spectators in this world, not enough action... I will try to make this interesting and sometimes informative, it's aimed at those who find that life is passing to fast, and want to live life abundantly. It is for those of faith who understand we don't have THE control. That God is the one and only reason for existence... but who want a heck of a ride until He calls us home.
